Mercedes-Benz "back on track"

Mercedes Benz has been announced as the current leader in profitably in the van sector and the results show the firm to be on the right path for a productive 2010, according to an expert.
Volker Mornhinweg, head of Mercedes-Benz Vans, said sales took off in the first six months of 2010 and everything is now back on track.
"Our results for the key financial figures of sales, earnings and return on sales speak for themselves, particularly after the difficult situation we faced in 2009," he said.
Mr Mornhinweg added that the company's current market share makes them the clear market leader for mid-size vans in the EU and the team are continuing the offensive by launching the right products at the right time.
Last year the car manufacturer cleaned up at the Lotus Awards, with its Sprinter van winning Semi-Light Truck of the Year, Intermediate Size Truck of the Year and the Highroad Chassis of the Year.
