It will not only save wasted time whilst you’re on the phone – it could also save you money if you qualify for one or more of the many discounts available. The information you should have is:
- Your motorbike registration number
- The year of manufacture of your motorbike
- Your motorbike’s value
- Any modifications that have been made to your motorbike
- Details of any additional security devices fitted (with certificates). This could save you money!
- Your planned mileage over the coming year. If it’s likely to be low, you could save money on your premium – the main trigger distances are 3,000, 5,000 and 8,000 miles
- Do you plan to cover more than one motorbike? If so, call us on 0800 092 6702 to see if you are eligible for a discount
- Will you be riding on the continent? Cover is available for up to 90 days
- Your driving history – including any penalty points earned
- Where your motorbike is stored overnight. If it’s in secure garaging, your premium could be lower
- How long you have been riding? Experience can help to reduce your premium
- If you have any advanced riding qualifications – again, having them could save you money
- How you will be using your motorbike – purely for pleasure, for getting to work or for business?
