If your van can’t be repaired at the roadside, you, your passengers and your van can be taken to a garage within 20 miles of your location. Peace of mind if you’re more than ¼ mile from home.
Roadside Assistance & Recovery
If your van can’t be repaired at the roadside, you, your passengers and your van can be taken to a single destination of your choice.
At Home
The same benefits as Roadside Assistance & Recovery, plus the advantage of onward travel options should your van be unable to be fixed on the same day following a breakdown and cover should your van break down at home.
European Breakdown Cover
Our European policies come with all of the above benefits plus cover in Europe for trips of up to 90 days.
Cover is restricted to Roadside Assistance for the first 24 hours. Breakdown cover is only available as an additional cover option with our Van Insurance and cannot be purchased as a stand-alone policy.
What to do if your van breaks down
Breaking down can be a stressful experience that can leave you feeling vulnerable, so it's a good idea to prepare yourself:
- Keep some essential items in your van, such as a torch, blanket, and a first aid kit
- If you do break down, make sure other drivers can see you by pulling over to a safe place and putting your hazard lights on
- Make sure you know who provides your breakdown cover and save the Emergency Helpline number in your phone so you have it to hand if something happens
