It’s easy to send it to us! Proof of your no claims can be:

- Scanned or photographed and emailed to us at [email protected]
- Posted to: Central Administration Team (NCB), Swinton Insurance, 101 Embankment, West Tower, Cathedral Approach, Salford, M3 7FB
- If you require a copy of your NCB from a policy you hold with us, you can find it in your online account.

The terms No Claim Discount and No Claims Bonus are often referred to have the same meaning, however there is a slight difference.
No Claims Bonus is the number of years you have earned without having claimed on your car insurance policy.
No Claims Discount is the amount of any discount given on your insurance premium as a result of the number of years No Claims Bonus you have, this will vary by insurer.

You can normally find your stated no claims years on your car insurance renewal notice, or you can also request it from your previous insurer. They will normally send you a letter or email stating the total number of No Claims Bonus years that you have.

In most instances you will find proof of your no claims bonus in the renewal notice you get from your previous insurer – just simply send it in to us and we will do the rest.

Where you will tend to find a copy of your no claims bonus.
- Your latest renewal notice
- A no claims bonus letter or email from your previous insurer
- A Statement of Fact (sometimes this is found in your renewal notice, it just needs to show your policy number)
- A cancellation letter from your last policy

- The number of no claims bonus years you have built up
- Your name
- The name of your last insurer
- The date of issue (which needs to be in the last two years)

If everything is in order, we’ll log your NCB on our systems and let you know. If there are any issues, we will either write to you or call you on the contact number you provided when you purchased your policy.
We want to make sure you continue to get the benefit of your no claims discount so it is important you send this in. We will send you a couple of reminders just in case you forget however if you don’t provide this to us we may cancel your policy and/or it could affect your ability to claim on the policy.
